This one-day training course is designed to step you through the eTenders process and give you an understanding of how to find useful information that can help identify where opportunities lie and how to start targeting the right ones.

We will look at the process to be followed to bid effectively and focus on what buyers are looking for from bidders. We explain scoring criteria and how to interpret it. Therefore, If you are a supplier trying to navigate the new eTenders website and process, this will be a worthwhile training day for you.

Session 1 – eTenders - Navigating the Public Sector Marketplace

• Introducing eTenders – An overview of eTenders and its functionality
• Using eTenders strategically – how to find information about the competitive landscape: contract award notices and previous RFTs/CfTs
• Introduce the data sources and navigating eTenders
• Useful information – previous RFTs and contract award information
• How to access public opportunities
• How to find useful information
• Public Procurement processes –the difference between quoting for contracts below the tendering thresholds and tendering for contracts above the threshold

Session 2 - Bid Management – What To Do and How To Do It

• What buyers look for from bidders?
• Scoring criteria and how to interpret them
• When to bid and why
• What a good bid looks like
• Qualifying criteria vs. award criteria – the difference between such criteria and how buyers use the criteria
• Breaking out the requirements in a tender document. Taking an example of tender documents and showing how the requirements can be identified
• Stepping through the “classic” sections of a bid and what needs to be outlined in each (introduction, requirements table, approach, methodology, citations, pricing, appendices etc.)

This training course is for anyone who uses the eTenders website from the supplier perspective, public or private sector who need help navigating the most recent changes.

Certification

On completion of this one-day training course, you will receive your Certificate of Attendance. Please note certificates are issued to participants on completion of the course. This course may qualify for CPD. Please check directly with your association or awarding body to see how many points they will award.

Cost

An ‘Early Bird’ discounted rate of €485 is currently available. This training course normal rate is €585. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
