Many organisations have vague and sometimes ambiguous procedures for recording accidents and incidents in the workplace.  Inconsistencies in information, delays and failure to report are a few of the problems that commonly arise. This course is designed to give participants the WHY and HOW concerning accident investigation which they can implement in their own organisations. Moreover, we will focus on what to do with the lessons learned from meaningful investigations and reports.

This one-day course will show you how to distinguish both why an incident/accident occurred, but importantly, will also show you how to conduct accident investigations.  This would include Best Practice Methodology and include an interactive workshop focussing on accidents that have occurred in your working environment.  We will also focus on development of root and underlying causes of accidents.  In the afternoon we will also conduct a further workshop on the prevention of recurrence of such accidents.  On leaving the course, all attendees will take home a full course pack to refer back to, and 5 Structured CPD Points (if applicable)

Sean Coleman – Coleman Risk Consulting

Sean Coleman has more than 35 years’ experience as a Risk Management Practitioner with experience across a very broad range of organisations and disciplines. He has worked with a number of Insurers and was Risk Consulting Practice Leader for Marsh in Ireland up until 2012. Sean has engaged with a diverse range of clients (From Online Gaming to Government Enforcement Agencies) in the implementation of Risk Management systems employing a wide variety of risk assessment techniques. He has worked with several organisations on the topic of accident investigation providing training and developing and critiquing policies and procedures.

Training Environment:

CMG Professional Training courses take place at our state-of-the-art training facility in the Apex Building situated in the Beacon Quarter of Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18. The CMG Training Centre is accessible by the Luas, (Sandyford line, Stillorgan stop – 6 mins walk) several bus options (the number 11 travels from O Connell street Dublin and stops directly outside the training centre) and we are situated very close to the M50 at the Beacon Hospital corner. There are several car parks within a three minute walk from the training centre with very competitive ‘all day’ parking rates and we have a range of coffee shops (including Starbucks) as well as shops and restaurants nearby.

This course costs €365 (EARLY-BIRD), (normal rate €425). Includes course documentation and light refreshments.
