A one day masterclass – places limited!
Date: 24th February 2016
It is essential that all charities are fully mindful of Data Protection, that they comply with the law and that they are transparent and accountable for how data is processed.
Not only is there the potential for the imposition of large fines or penalties, but the potential for reputational damage to charities is huge. To ensure compliance all staff, particularly those who are appointed as data controllers, must understand their roles and responsibilities, in order to avoid any potential liabilities.
It is crucial for charities to be able to demonstrate that they are aware of their responsibilities to keep the data they hold secure, and that they are taking the necessary key steps to protect personal data from misuse. Even the smallest organisations are likely to hold personal data on people such as staff or trustees. These organisations, which often rely on their existing reputation, can stand to lose just as much from a breach as those who spend millions on IT. Ignorance is not bliss, and it is vital that all organisations review their policies and procedures around data protection and ensure that they remain ‘fit for purpose’.
This CPD certified MasterClass is the latest in our popular data protection series. This intensive one-day course will offer expert insight and information, will answer any specific questions you might have relating to how Data Protection Law applies to your organisation, and will ensure that you will leave this MasterClass with specific, relevant information that you can put to use immediately, and help ensure that you remain compliant.
