There is an increasing need for a more sustainable approach to managing surface water. Sustainable drainage systems (SUDS) have many well documented benefits, and reduce the effect on the quality and quantity of runoff from developments, providing important amenity and biodiversity benefits.

This one day CPD MasterClass will give you an informative overview of the processes involved in assessing and controlling runoff from development.

The first half of the course will focus on the key concepts and benefits of SUDS use, such as amenity, ecology, water harvesting and green infrastructure. You will also gain a greater understanding of the the performance and key features of SUDS systems. The second half of the course will give you expert insight on the design of SUDS systems, from the estimation of greenfield runoff, requirements of the GDSDS to outline design concepts. You will get an opportunity to engage in an informative Q & A with our course tutor, as well as other professionals in your field. You will receive 6 structured CPD Points and will receive a full course pack, which you can refer back to at any time.

Training Environment:

CMG Professional Training courses take place at our state-of-the-art training facility in the Apex Building situated in the Beacon Quarter of Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18. The CMG Training Centre is accessible by the Luas, (Sandyford line, Stillorgan stop – 6 mins walk) several bus options (the number 11 travels from O Connell street Dublin and stops directly outside the training centre) and we are situated very close to the M50 at the Beacon Hospital corner. There are several car parks within a three minute walk from the training centre with very competitive ‘all day’ parking rates and we have a range of coffee shops (including Starbucks) as well as shops and restaurants nearby.

This course costs €375 (2nd early-bird rate), NORMAL RATE €425, and includes course documentation and light refreshments. While the course fee does not include lunch, we do provide freshly made sandwiches, coffee and a range of teas and fresh juice for those who require a light lunch.
