This Data Protection Officer training course has been designed to help Data Protection Officers meet their challenging roles.
The DPO course is ideally suited to anyone currently fulfilling a Data Protection Officer role within an organisation, those new to the role and those responsible for ensuring that their organisation is compliant with data protection law.

On completion you will receive your CMG MasterClass Certificate as well as your CPD Certificate containing 5 Structured CPD Hours. Please note certificates are issued only at the close of the training course to participants who complete the full five hours.

Kate gained an honours degree in law from Trinity College Dublin in 1995. She has been a qualified solicitor since 1999. She has also received a Diploma in Arbitration from UCD and a Diploma in E-Commerce from the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland. She previously led the IP/Data Protection department of a large international firm. In Frontier Privacy, Kate runs the team that carries out Data Protection audits/gap analysis reporting for clients, large and small. Her team is renowned for providing clear, commercially focused solutions and clearly mapping how to achieve compliance using a project management approach. Kate is regularly asked to speak on FOI and data protection issues and to comment in the media. She lectures on the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland’s postgraduate courses in technology law. She was one of only three Irish lawyers nominated for a Women in Law Award by the UK’s Lawyer Magazine. Kate has recently set up a “knowledge-net” group of privacy professionals who meet monthly to analyse the latest developments in privacy and cyber-information. She is also the Irish Co-Chair of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
CMG Professional Training courses take place at our state-of-the-art training facility in the Apex Business Centre situated in the Beacon Quarter of Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18. The CMG Training Centre is accessible by the Luas, (Sandyford line, Stillorgan stop – 6 mins walk) several bus options (the number 11 travels from O Connell street Dublin and stops directly outside the training centre) and we are situated very close to the M50 at the Beacon Hospital corner. There are several car parks within a three minute walk from the training centre with very competitive ‘all day’ parking rates and we have a range of coffee shops (including Starbucks) as well as shops and restaurants nearby.
In order to maximize the learning experience, interaction and discussion, numbers are limited per course. A short course assessment may be required before completion.

This course costs €395 (Early Bird) and includes course documentation and light refreshments. While the course fee does not include lunch, we do provide freshly made sandwiches, nespresso coffee and a range of teas and fresh juice for those who require a light lunch.
