People Management Skills

  • 5 CPD Hours Apex Building, Blackthorn Road Sandyford Business District D18 (map)

Because there's no widely agreed-on skillset for management (good managers come in all shapes and sizes), there's an assumption everyone knows how to do it. Unfortunately, recent research reveals that as little as one in ten people may possess the natural abilities or skills to be described as above. However, with training, you can learn the key skills and techniques, and gain a better understanding of how and why people respond to being managed.

This one-day CPD training course is among our most popular, as it covers a number of different aspects of management in one day. The course shows you how to first look at yourself, your own personality and your own management style. We will show you the steps to becoming a better communicator, and we will examine what motivates (and demotivates) people, and how you can keep you can create a motivational environment. We will show key management tools such as delegation, dealing with difficult situations and conversations, and how to conduct staff appraisals.

All attendees will receive a full course pack to refer back to, and will gain CPD hours at the end of the session (if applicable).
