There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all skillset for management (good managers come in all shapes and sizes), and there's often an assumption everyone in a management position knows how to do it. Unfortunately, recent research reveals that as little as one in ten people may possess the natural abilities or skills required. However, with training, you can learn the key skills and techniques, and gain a better understanding of how and why people respond to being managed.

This one-day CPD training course is among our most popular, as it covers a wide range of different aspects of management in just one day. The course shows you how to first look at yourself, your own personality and your own management style. We will show you the steps to becoming a better communicator, and we will examine what motivates (and demotivates) people, and how you can keep you can create a motivational environment. We will show key management tools such as delegation, dealing with difficult situations and conversations, and how to spot these situations before they arise. You will also learn some hugely practical time management tips, and how to manage performance and conduct staff appraisals. 

All attendees will leave this course with a better understanding of the key skills required to both succeed as a manager, and to help your own team succeed in the process. On top of this, attendees will receive a full course pack to refer back to, and will gain CPD hours at the end of the session (if applicable).

This course will be of particular interest to those entering management for the first time, those taking on a team leader role, or those in senior management who wish to refresh their skills. Equally, executives in both the public sector and professionals who have recently moved into management roles will find this course extremely beneficial.  


On completion you will receive your CMG MasterClass Certificate as well as your CPD Certificate containing 5 Structured CPD Hours. Please note certificates are issued only at the close of the training course to participants who complete the full five hours.


This course costs €365 (Early-bird) normal rate is €395. Includes course documentation and light refreshments. While the course fee does not include lunch, we do provide freshly made sandwiches, coffee and a range of teas and fresh juice for those who require a light lunch. Alternatively you can avail of the local food stores and coffee shops opposite the training centre for hot food or alternative lunch options.
