A crisis communications plan is a crucial component of any disaster plan, as it can act as a guideline to help you quickly contain the crisis and recover from its impact. Whether it’s a weather disaster, a highly publicised lawsuit or a bad product review, your reaction should be immediate, focused and emphatic. All businesses should have a crisis communication plan to ensure that accurate information is provided during an emergency to minimize problems caused by misleading communications.

This one-day course will show the key steps for effective communication in a crisis, how to formulate a communication strategy to minimise a crisis, and importantly to prevent it escalating further. You will be shown how to manage the media if applicable, and how to maintain clear and precise communication under pressure. This course will use real case studies of crisis management and highlight the good from the bad, it will give delegates an understanding of the appropriate actions before during and after an incident.

On completion of this one-day training course, you will receive your CMG MasterClass Certificate as well as your CPD Certificate containing 5 Structured CPD Hours. Please note certificates are issued at the close of the training course to participants who complete the full five hours.


This training course costs €425 EARLY-BIRD (Normal rate €495). The price includes course documentation and training pack, teas and coffee, snacks, biscuits, fruit on arrival. Lunch is a light fare containing freshly cut sandwiches, wraps, a selection of teas and coffee. Alternatively, you can avail of the local food stores and coffee shops within a one-minute radius of the training centre for hot food or alternative lunch options.
