Project Management Professional (PMP®) Exam Preparation

This course runs over several dates - 10th June, 17th June, 24th June, 1st July, 8th July

To be eligible to sit the PMP® exam, delegates must meet the general educational, specific project management educational and project management experience requirements of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and agree to adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct.

The final requirement to becoming a PMP® is passing a multiple-choice exam designed to assess an individual on their ability to apply project knowledge in five areas. These are; Initiating the Project, Planning the Project, Executing the Project, Monitoring and Controlling the Project and finally, Closing the Project. 

This 5-day course - delivered once a week for 5 weeks - is designed to prepare delegates to apply for and take the PMP® exam. The first 4 days are designated as ‘Learning Days’ during which delegates can begin or continue the accreditation application. The 5th day is dedicated to content revision and includes a trial exam with answer analysis.

    • Exercises to help you understand and memorise the information you need to know - including formulae such as Earned Value 

  • Understanding PMI terminology and Project Management acronyms Detailed coverage of: 

    • The project management processes 

    • The project management framework 

    • Integration management 

    • Scope Management 

    • Schedule Management 

    • Cost Management 

    • Quality Management 

    • Resource Management 

    • Communications Management 

    • Risk Management 

    • Procurement Management 

    • Stakeholder Management 

  • Practice exams are presented before and after each module 

  • Delegates will be invited to join a dedicated on-line group which is created and hosted by the tutor. The purpose of this forum is

    • To provide support and guidance to all course delegates for a period of 12 months following the completion of the class room sessions 

    • This is facilitated through group contact/ discussion via the forum or

    • Direct contact with the tutor

    • To provide 24/7 access to soft copy exam related content such as 

      • Sample exam questions 

      • Revision Material 

      • Links to on-line simulated exam sites 

    • To advise of any changes/trends in exam questions 

Who Should Attend?

This course would be relevant to all Managers, Project Managers, Project Leads, or any personnel involved with projects who wish to attain the PMP® credential. It is a very intensive course and should only be taken by committed individuals whose aim is to achieve the qualification of Project Management Professional.

Cost

This training course costs €1095. The price includes course documentation and training pack – and access to an on-line Group Forum to provide support and information for a one-year period following course completion.

Teas and coffee, snacks, biscuits, fruit are provided on arrival. Also included is lunch, a light fare containing freshly cut sandwiches, wraps, and a selection of teas and coffee. Alternatively, you can avail of the local food stores and coffee shops within a one-minute radius of the training centre for hot food or alternative lunch options.
