CE Markings and The Construction Products Regulation

  • 5 CPD Hours Apex Building, Blackthorn Road, Sandyford Business District, Dublin 18 (map)

Any construction product within the European Economic Area (EEA) must comply with the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR).

This intensive one day course will give you an informative overview of the CPR and the CE marking process, and will answer questions such as:

What is CE marking and does it apply to you? What if no standard applies to your product? What happens if no facilities exist outside of Ireland to test your product?

We will discuss the impact on the manufacturing process as well as responsibilities of various parties involved. We will also examine key issues that may arise, such as what is the process of testing your product and how to keep costs as low as possible. We will focus on the manufacturer’s role in ensuring their product is satisfactorily CE marked, along with the specifier’s responsibility in investigating products to correctly ascertain their declaration of performance. This highly informative course will examine these issues and more, and all attendees will receive a full course pack to refer back to at any time.
