Fire safety is one of the most high pressure and significant aspects of safety management. The reality is that there is no room for error. This unique JOIFF accredited training course will address key concerns and challenges for those responsible for fire safety in their workplace, and will provide practical insights on the formulation of a fire policy, specific guidance on fire prevention, legalities regarding and the Irish Fire Code, evacuation strategies and more. This Masterclass will also show you the key components of a competent fire safety risk assessment.

This unique course comprises of 6 modules, each one lasting 4 hours and spread out over 6 week modules. This course will mainly focus on prevention, preparation and protection, and will help attendees get fully up to speed with all protocols and procedures they need to be aware of in the management of fire safety in their workplace. Attendees will receive a highly practical course pack, and expert guidance delivered by a JOIFF certified industry expert with over 40 years’ experience, as well as highly practical post training support, ensuring that you are able to gain real and practical advice on matters unique and relevant to you specifically.

  • Means of Escape in the Event of Fire

  • In particular reference to Statutory obligations and Irish and European standard specifications

  • ISEN 179 Emergency Exit devices

  • ISEN 1125 Panic Exit devices

  • ISEN 13637 Electrically controlled exit systems for use in escape routes


Module Three

  • Public Fire Safety and Duties of Care

  • Irish Statutory Duties of Care

  • Duties of Persons in Control

Course Structure

The overall educational requirement for completing the Masterclass modular workshop series is to obtain a minimum of twenty five hours tuition which will incorporate weekly individual assignments cumulating in a project exercise which will be based upon the participants risk assessment objectives.

These 25 hours are broken down into 6 modules (roughly 4 hours per module) taking place over 6 weeks. 

Post-Training Support

Upon completion of this course, our course trainer will be available to assist you with any practical situations or implementations you require, ensuring that you are able to gain real and practical advice on matters unique and relevant to you specifically.

Who Should Attend?

This course would be hugely relevant to any organisation’s duty holder within an undertaking who has statutory obligations with respect to Fire Safety Risk Assessment compliance. In particular the course would be relevant to Managers & Responsible Persons, Fire & Safety officers, Health & Safety Managers, Fire Marshals and all responsible personnel who have a role in undertaking fire safety risk assessment.

Educational Sector examples of workshop participants may include School Management i.e. Principals, Deputy Principles and Person's in Control of Places of Assembly

Healthcare Sector examples of workshop participants may include Healthcare Management i.e. Directors of Nursing, Assistant Directors of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Managers and Persons 's in control of Departments.

General Sector examples may include Construction site management, Engineering management, Retail and Warehousing management etc

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, and all applicable course work, each student will be awarded a JOIFF Accredited Fire Safety certificate of Competence

Cost

The cost of this course is €1,095 (early-bird), NORMAL RATE €1395 Includes course documentation and light refreshments. While the course fee does not include lunch, we do provide freshly made sandwiches, coffee and a range of teas for those who require a light lunch. Alternatively you can avail of the local food stores and coffee shops opposite the training centre for hot food or alternative lunch options.
