A few words from our tutor on what you can expect from this course

Course Description

A letter of credit, or a credit letter, is a letter from a bank guaranteeing that a buyer’s payment to a seller will be received on time and for the correct amount. If the buyer is unable to make a payment on the purchase, the bank will be required to cover the full or remaining amount of the purchase.

The aim of this course is to equip any person department or business involved in the opening/receiving or presentation of documents for movements under Letter of Credit payment terms.

Many of the issues that occur that delay release of funds and elicit repeated presentation of documents are completely avoidable if one understands the process and how to manage it. This course helps business structure their internal process to circumvent issues and control the process from the outset.

This course is suitable for staff members required to deal with letters of credit, such as those in sales, purchasing, shipping, accounts, finance, or customer services. It will also benefit experienced staff who need to update their knowledge on the latest standards to remain compliant.
