A letter of credit, or a credit letter, is a letter from a bank guaranteeing that a buyer’s payment to a seller will be received on time and for the correct amount. If the buyer is unable to make a payment on the purchase, the bank will be required to cover the full or remaining amount of the purchase.
The aim of this course is to equip any person department or business involved in the opening/receiving or presentation of documents for movements under Letter of Credit payment terms.
Many of the issues that occur that delay release of funds and elicit repeated presentation of documents are completely avoidable if one understands the process and how to manage it. This course helps business structure their internal process to circumvent issues and control the process from the outset.
