Course Description

(RMCEI - Recommended Minimum Criteria for Environmental Inspections)

Local Authorities in Ireland are responsible for carrying out environmental enforcement activities and demonstrating that these activities are properly planned, recorded, monitored and reported. But how confident are you that your RMCEI returns accurately reflect your councils work, that the supporting evidence will stand up to scrutiny and that any gaps in inspection or enforcement activity are identified before an EPA audit? This practical training course will explore the key considerations surrounding RMCEI reporting, EPA audits, environmental enforcement performance and audit readiness, helping participants ask the right questions, recognise potential weaknesses and consider practical ways to strengthen their council’s approach.

All attendees will receive a full course pack to refer to and will have the benefit of learning from a trainer with a wealth of experience in this area.
