How We Collect and Use Information

We only collect the following types of information about you:

Information you provide to us directly:

We ask for certain information such as your name, company name, job title, invoicing address, phone number and e-mail address when you register for our conferences, training courses or awards. Your company name and title will be included on our delegate lists and will only be given to speakers/tutors prior to event to assist in preparation of presentation. You Name and Company Name will also be used for your badge on day of event. If you wish that your company name  is not included on this list, please let us know and we will not disclose that information.

Information we may receive from a third party:

We may receive some information about you from a third party. For example, upon contacting your company or organization about an upcoming conference, training course or an event, we might be instructed to send that information to you as you are the most relevant person to contact regarding such that type of event. Therefore, your name and email address could be passed over to us by a colleague of yours or someone in your organisation. In this case, we will send you an email with the information regarding the course or conference we believe may be relevant to you / your company or organisation and of ‘legitimate interest’. All of our information emails contain an opt-out option and we do not process information given to us over the phone unless you have opted in.

Marketing communications:

We use the information we collect or receive, such as your email address, to communicate directly with you. We may send you emails containing newsletters, promotions, and early bird offers. If you do not want to receive such email information, you will always be given the option to ‘opt out’ or change your preferences.

Sharing of your information:

We do not and will not sell, rent or donate any of your information with other parties outside of CMG (events / training). Your information is shared on our internal CMG Database which is only accessible to those working within our organization. Your information is accessible to all CMG employees involved in the sales, marketing and accounts depts of our conferences, training courses and awards ceremonies operations. Any information that you have provided through our website, or via email or on the phone is included in our Database and can be shared within the CMG organization.

Third Party Access to your Information:

CMG (training or events) do not give out delegate information to any third party, other than the relevant CMG employees referenced above. We do outsource our IT to an external IT company and they can remotely access our server. They are not authorized to browse, review, change, and/or share any delegate or potential delegate information with any other party. All software in CMG is protected by a password.

Instances where we are required to share your information:

In the case where a tutor, speaker or chairperson (in this instance a third party) of any of our conferences, training courses or events seek a delegate or attendee list of names to enhance the event experience or garner information on company size or interest, we will send on your name and company name only. No other contact information is supplied. At any time, you can request that your name and/or company name is not disclosed. CMG’s Privacy Policy does not apply to and we cannot control the activities of above referenced third-parties. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Storage and Processing:

CMG (conferences, training courses and events) care strongly about the security of your information. The information that you provide to us is stored on our internal Database (which is pass-word protected) and that is only accessible by accessing company’s server. Our server is only accessible to contracted employees and our outsourced IT Department. Your information is never a part of an out-flow from our company; it is never sent to a third party for processing, marketing and/or any other reasons. Our bookings personnel  will only use our database in order to send an email promotion of an event, conference or training course deemed of legitimate interest and we record what events you or other members of your company are interested in attending. This information includes your company name, your position in the company / organisation, your phone number and email address. At any time, you can exercise your option to ‘opt-out’ of receiving emails or phone calls. If you do not wish to opt-out but do not want some of your information on our Database, contact us at any time to have any details removed.

Compromise of information:

In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, CMG (conferences, training courses and events) will take prompt and reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Your choices about your Information:

You control the amount of information that you provide to us. Under no circumstances are you obligated to provide us with any details which you don’t wish to disclose.

We make every effort to promptly process all unsubscribe requests. We suggest allowing 48 hours before your information will be permanently removed from our Database unless you contact us to opt-back in in order to be contacted by us again. To opt-out of receiving emails please contact We also ask that you provide us with any email addresses that you may have previously provided to us as you could be on our database under more than one address.
