Course Description

A practical understanding of handling & processing data in a health setting

All healthcare providers and facilities must prove that they adequately protect their patients’ personal information. Whether dealing with prescriptions, patient lists, or any sort of personal information, everyone must now be aware of how they handle sensitive data.

This one-day course will give you a practical understanding of how to deal with many forms of data in your health facility. We will improve your understanding of GDPR, particularly in a healthcare context. We will show you the stages of processing data, storage requirements, and the law regarding the sharing of data (i.e. Referrals).

You will learn the key elements of a DPIA (Data protection impact assessment), how to handle subject access requests, and how to handle a data breach.

Certification

On completion of this one-day training course, you will receive your Certificate of Attendance. Please note certificates are issued at the close of the training course to participants on completion of the course.

Cost
