A few words from our tutor on what you can expect from this course

Course Description

Accidents happen in all sectors, however when they are not correctly reported, analysed and investigated, they will inevitably keep happening. This course is focused on the prevention of accidents and will cover the systems and policies to manage health and safety and minimise the potential for employer liability.

Throughout this course you will learn why accidents/incidents occur, and how to conduct investigations comprehensively and accurately. We will show you how different accidents require different approaches. You will learn exactly what to do if an accident occurs, from interviewing witnesses, how to document correctly, how to write the investigation report, record keeping and data protection issues, and how to ensure the organisation learns from each accident. We will also show to you how to deal with external issues such as the Gardai, HSA, or any criminal / civil proceedings.

As an attendee you will have an opportunity to learn from a highly experienced Barrister at Law, ask questions relevant to your line of work and receive highly practical course notes.
