Course Description

From Plans to Perfection – A Guide to QA / QC Excellence • Set the Standard • Check the Work •  Build with Confidence in Delivery

Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) are essential to delivering construction projects that meet the required standards, specifications and regulatory requirements. Effective QA provides the planning, processes and controls needed to prevent defects, while QC provides the inspection testing and evidence needed to verify that the work has been completed to the required standard. This one-day practical course will provide participants with a clear understanding of QA/QC principles and their application on construction projects in Ireland. It will explore the regulatory and compliance framework, the roles and responsibilities of the project team, effective inspection planning, evidence and documentation, common construction defects, non-conformances and corrective actions. Emphasis will be placed on managing changes and deviations from the design and understanding how inspection, evidence and certification contribute to demonstrating compliance.

Through practical examples, exercises and case studies, participants will develop the knowledge and tools to manage quality more effectively, identify and address issues at an early stage and contribute to a well-documented and compliant construction projects

All attendees will receive a full course pack to refer to and will have the benefit of learning from a trainer with a wealth of experience in this area.
