A few words from our tutor on what you can expect from this course

Course Description

There is an increasing need for a more sustainable approach to managing surface water. Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) have many well documented benefits, and reduce the effect on the quality and quantity of runoff from developments, and can provide opportunities for amenity and biodiversity at no additional cost – but only if the design is approached in the correct manner.

This one-day MasterClass will give you an informative overview of fundamental considerations when approaching a SuDS design. Often key considerations such as how runoff is collected are missed, which can significantly affect the design. Key concepts will be considered along with the range of techniques available. You will be able to gain an appreciation of the wider benefits and how to best meet the requirements outlined by GDSDS (Greater Dublin Strategic Drainage Strategy) and other requirements that may be applied through planning.

You will get an opportunity to engage in an informative Q & A with our course tutor, as well as other professionals in your field.
