A few words from our tutor on what you can expect from this course

Course Description

Why SuDs? • Concepts and Principles • SuDs Components • Myths and Challenges • Design Guidance and Criteria

Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDs) have many well documented benefits and reduce the effect on the quality and quantity of runoff from developments and can provide opportunities for amenity and biodiversity at no additional cost – but only if the design is approached in the correct manner.

This one-day workshop will give you an informative overview of fundamental considerations when approaching a SuDs scheme. Key concepts will be considered along with the range of techniques available. You will be able to gain an appreciation of the wider benefits of SuDs and an overview of the current status of guidance and design criteria in Ireland.

You will get an opportunity to engage in an informative Q&A with our course tutor, as well as other professionals in your field. You will receive highly informative course notes, which you can refer back to at anytime.
