The objective of this training is for those dealing with difficult capacity issues daily, to recognise when there may be issues with capacity and to understand how best to proceed. You will learn how to support decision-making and what steps need to be taken if legal capacity is in question.
This workshop will answer a number of questions, including who can assess capacity, the functional capacity test, how to deal with fluctuating cases, what to do when you are unable to obtain consent to medical treatment, important legal case studies and much more.
