Risk Management – Guide to ISO 31000

Risks affecting organizations can have consequences in terms of economic performance and professional reputation, as well as environmental, safety and societal outcomes. Managing risk effectively helps organizations to perform well in an environment full of uncertainty.

ISO 31000:2018 provides a common approach to managing any type of risk, and is not industry or sector specific. It is currently widely applied in the private sector, and is the international risk management standard recommend to all public sector organisations.

This one day course will explore these recently revised guidelines, and will provide the principles, framework and a process for managing risk. The course will take you through the principles underpinning a successful risk management system, and will show how to implement such a system in your business.

We will also show you how to conduct a practical risk assessment, involving risk identification, analysis, evaluation and treatment. All attendees will get a chance to engage in an informative Q&A session, receive a highly informative course pack.

Introduction to risk management concepts

Afternoon Session
