At a basic level, Excel is used for entering data, organising information, performing simple calculations and creating straightforward tables or lists for everyday work.
Beginner tasks generally include data entry, basic formatting, simple formulas, sorting data and creating simple spreadsheets for tracking or reporting.
Excel is widely used in a limited way, often for familiar tasks only. This can make it difficult to judge whether usage goes beyond basic functionality.
Weak foundations can lead to data errors, inconsistent spreadsheets and inefficiencies as files become more complex.
This course focuses on the foundational Excel concepts that underpin everyday spreadsheet use in a workplace setting.
