Course Description

Current legislation imposes statutory duties on those responsible for construction projects, including the duty to appoint a Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) and all those involved in construction projects need to know the details of this role to ensure it’s carried out correctly.

Course Content

·        Legal overview including the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act and Construction Regulations

·        Duties of the PSCS including contractor co-ordination

·        When a PSCS should be appointed

·        Coordination with the PSDP

·        Construction Safety & Health Plan

·        Client sites with multiple PSCS working in close proximity.

·        The General Principles of Prevention

·        Notification of requirements to the HSA

·        Giving Written Directions

·        Procurement and Management of Contractors (Domestic & Nominated)

·        The Project Safety File

·        Method Statement, Risk Assessment, SSWP

·        Construction Stage/Temporary Works

·        Case studies - PSCS coordination

·        Termination of the PSCS role/Changing of PSCS during a project

·        Discussions & Q&A sessions to round up this section.

Who Should Attend?

This course is relevant to anyone who is currently undertaking a PSCS role or will need to in the future or required to know key responsibilities of the role

Certification

On completion of this one-day training course, you will receive your Certificate of Attendance. Please note certificates are issued at the close of the training course to participants on completion of the course. Please check directly with your association or awarding body to see how many points they will award.

Cost

An ‘Early Bird’ discounted rate of €485 is currently available. This training course normal rate is €585. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. PLEASE NOTE THE EARLY BIRD RATE CLOSES 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO COURSE DATE.
